In Hyères, “Pour vous” Explores the Resonance Between Art, Design, and Humanity

Our Color Intelligence SS27 Edition announced the emergence of a new movement: RE-COMPOSITION.

This movement underscored the need to redefine the rules of the game, to blur the boundaries between disciplines in order to transform what already exists rather than reproduce conventional models. It invited us to question our norms and our relationship to creation: to rethink not only what we make, but also how we create together, how we reinvent connections, gestures, and perhaps even our way of inhabiting the world.

We visited, in preview, a new space that fully resonates with this emerging trend. In Hyères, the new gallery “Pour vous” carries a simple yet radical ambition: to make creation more human, more accessible, more alive.

Without flashy signage or an overexposure strategy, the space is neither a showroom nor a traditional exhibition venue. It is conceived as a place of passage, convergence, and catalysis. Its founder is Florian Sauvageot. Trained in design, sensitive to materials, light, and the hand that shapes, he places humanity and sincerity at the heart of his approach.

“There is no such thing as solitary creation,” he says. “One person’s work nourishes that of another.”

A Path Grounded in Experience

Before Pour vous, Florian followed a journey shaped by intuition, experimentation, and encounters. He began in design, specialized in lighting, then at just 23 opened his first shop in Hyères. Eight years of learning later—through management, exchanges, mistakes, and revelations—came the desire for a more embodied space. His approach is above all human and collective. Supported by family and close friends, he has made this project a space for relationships.

“Not a space of representation. A space of relations, a driving force for creation.”

Florian envisions a place that connects rather than showcases. He recalls an exhibition that didn’t lead to a sale, but to a WhatsApp group between designers. To him, that is true success: the connection.
Everything else—objects, pieces, sales—comes afterward.

A Rethought Model

Today, Florian represents around thirty talents—artists and designers with diverse sensibilities. His first curated selection in Hyères brings together 23 creators, following the momentum of Toulon’s Design Parade.
His selection is guided neither by market logic nor trends, but by a conviction: to make forms interact, even when they are dissonant. To juxtapose opposites in materials and objects, to cross stories and tensions.

“What I seek is resonance within dissonance.”
Pour vous is an environment of resonance. Here, people exhibit, photograph, work, exchange, live—and soon, source materials. The model is based on renting space and transparent commissions on sales. Above all, it follows a philosophy: openness.

Opening to newcomers as well as the established, to the curious and the passionate. Breaking down social, linguistic, and elitist barriers. Florian is well aware of the realities of the industry: precarious creators, juggling jobs, glamor illusions. He prefers to reveal what is genuinely beautiful: the work of hands, of ideas, of friendships born from collaboration.

A Human-Centered Curation

By confronting objects, Florian creates encounters—between designers, stories, forms, materials, and perspectives. Like a house where rooms reveal themselves through contrast and dialogue. The goal: to let the works speak to each other, not despite, but because of their contradictions. Some furniture hides unexpected functions; others assert their decorative purpose or flirt between design and art. Each piece has a story to tell.

Between aluminum and rope, leather, oak, stoneware, marble, plexiglass, cork, ceramics, and glass, everything collides with subtle balance and discretion.

Contrasts coexist in harmony; a palette of sophisticated faux neutrals creates a calm, graphic unity.
And perhaps that is the true intention of Pour vous: to show that the work is not only the object, but the space and the bonds it generates.

We thank Florian and all the talents for this shared moment and this beautifully recomposed vision of the new creative scene.
