TikTok Design Trends - December 2025

NellyRodi’s Home experts share the latest trends spotted on TikTok this month. Here’s a glimpse of what’s inspiring our interiors right now.

“Potato Bed”: the soothing new refuge taking over TikTok

As winter sets in and the year draws to a close, encouraging a slower pace, TikTok is seeing a strong surge in interest—especially among younger users—for the “potato bed”: a bed transformed into an ultra-soft, enveloping nest, made with tightly tucked sheets, multiple layers of blankets, and stacks of pillows. Beneath its regressive appeal—some even call it a “baby bed”—this setup captivates through its sensory comfort and the sense of calm it provides.

The “potato bed” thus becomes an intimate refuge, a comforting fortress, a temporary cocoon where one can unwind, relax, and regain a feeling of safety. More broadly, this trend aligns with the “slow living” movement and confirms a deeper shift: interiors are increasingly being transformed into bespoke sanctuaries—spaces of reassurance and restoration—designed to offer soothing pauses within an overstimulating, noisy, and anxiety-inducing daily life.

“Toddler Art”: when children’s creations become the new décor signature

An emerging trend, “Toddler Art” involves displaying toddlers’ drawings and creations as true gallery pieces. Framed, staged, and fully integrated into interior design, these childlike works become central, valued elements of the home.

Beyond aesthetics, the movement celebrates every member of the household, including the youngest. Awkward lines, bold colors, and the unpredictability of their drawings and compositions inject spontaneity, joy, and unfiltered honesty—a refreshing counterpoint to interiors increasingly standardized and smoothed by algorithms.
By placing these creations at the heart of the home, an immediate sense of authenticity and personal energy is infused into the space, transforming it and telling an intimate story. “Toddler Art” reminds us that an interior can be beautiful, but above all alive, human, and a true reflection of those who inhabit it.

“Ralph Lauren Christmas”: the holidays re-enchant vintage nostalgia with elegance

As the festive season approaches, a new holiday aesthetic is taking hold on TikTok: “Ralph Lauren Christmas.” Inherited from the iconic world of the American brand, this trend moves away from the Scandinavian “hygge” aesthetic and the minimalist codes that have dominated recent years, celebrating instead a return to warmth, authenticity, and timeless elegance. On the platform, videos garnering thousands of views showcase cozy interiors blending deep velvets, red and green tartans, tweed, natural accents, vintage ornaments, teddy bears, and soft lighting. It’s an American take on “quiet luxury,” where elegance meets homely warmth—an atmosphere that breaks free from minimalism to embrace a subtle maximalism infused with nostalgia and emotion.

But the appeal of “Ralph Lauren Christmas” goes deeper: it responds to a broader longing to reconnect with a comforting, sensory imagination. In a context marked by uncertainty, the desire for tradition resurfaces. The crackle of a fireplace, meals shared around a large table, the passing down of heirloom objects—everything contributes to shaping a more enveloping, reassuring Christmas. The festive universe no longer simply decorates; it revives emotions, reactivates memories, and becomes the expression of a collective need for escapism, authenticity, and warm, soulful beauty.
