Interiors are becoming more fashion-forward
This month on TikTok, interiors are becoming the new dressing rooms: fashion accessories are leaving the body to dress up living spaces. Bags, scarves, and jewelry are now integral elements of home styling-hung on designer hooks, placed atop stacks of art books, or repurposed as decorative objects.
This trend literally embodies the “fashionization of interiors,” where the home becomes an extension of personal style. In a context of ever-accelerating collection cycles, accessories make it easy to update one’s decor without reinventing everything: a fluid, accessible, and emotional way to refresh one’s environment with the seasons and moods. Fashion and interior design have never been so intertwined, and this trend illustrates it beautifully.

The pet-friendly aesthetic
At the same time, another trend is taking hold: the pet-friendly aesthetic. Pet owners are now rejecting “ugly” pet accessories that clash with their interiors. Designer bowls or coordinated beds that match the sofa, mini art galleries celebrating one’s pet, or a chic little bed next to its owner’s—all have become markers of a more mindful way of living. Some even share clever hacks to protect their designer furniture from their cats’ or dogs’ claws.
