MARCH 9 – Fashion influenced by Hollywood: minimalism makes a comeback

Three years after the rise of “quiet luxury” and minimalist aesthetics, the trend is gaining momentum again—despite predictions to the contrary. The recent series Love Story, telling the story of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, has brought her iconic style back into the spotlight.

In the weeks following its release on February 14, global Google searches for “minimalist” increased by +350%, while searches for Calvin Klein—an emblematic brand of this aesthetic in the 1990s—jumped by +140%.
This phenomenon highlights the strong ties between fashion and the entertainment industry, and their influence on consumer trends.

MARCH 10 – Paris Fashion Week FW26: Chanel, the season’s big winner

Once the initial debuts passed, this Fashion Week shifted its focus toward the consistency of brand narratives and their resonance beyond the initial buzz.

Several houses were praised by critics for their ability to update their codes while staying true to their identity, including Dior, Celine, Givenchy, and Tom Ford.

However, the season’s standout appears to be Matthieu Blazy at Chanel. Over the Fashion Week weekend, pieces from his debut collection arrived in stores. Queues of over three hours and multiple sell-outs testify to the excitement generated by the house’s new creative director.

MARCH 12 – Harris Reed leaves Nina Ricci

After three years at Nina Ricci, Harris Reed is stepping down as creative director. His successor has not yet been announced.
Reed is ending this collaboration to focus on developing his eponymous brand and personal projects. The show presented on March 6 for the Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection marked his final contribution to the house.

MARCH 13 – Béatrice Goasglas appointed CEO of TAG Heuer

LVMH has appointed Béatrice Goasglas, previously President of TAG Heuer in the United States, as CEO of the watchmaking house. Since 2013, the iconic brand has had six different CEOs, reflecting significant turnover in its top management.
Before joining TAG Heuer in 2018, Goasglas held key roles at Sephora, L’Oréal, and within the SMCP group. With her strong knowledge of the brand, she will be tasked with reigniting growth, strengthening strategy, and leading the major partnership with Formula 1.

MARCH 16 – Golden Goose opens its Younique café in Milan

Golden Goose is opening its Younique café in Milan, one year after launching its first space in Bangkok. Inspired by traditional Italian cafés, the venue incorporates a contemporary twist with a “listening room,” merging music and immersive experience.
This opening is part of the brand’s strategy to strengthen its position in experiential retail, now a key method for engaging customers. Located next to the Golden Goose store, the space creates a seamless extension of the customer journey.

MARCH 17 – Two-year partnership between John Galliano and Zara

John Galliano is partnering with Zara for a two-year collaboration, during which he will draw from the brand’s archives and reinterpret them in his own way. Following collaborations with Willy Chavarria and Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Zara confirms its strategy of working with major designers and its clear ambition to move upmarket toward a more premium positioning.

MARCH 23 – Depop accused of hiding fees from users

Depop is being sued for allegedly hiding mandatory fees from its 43 million users. Specifically, “marketplace” fees were added at checkout without being reflected in the initial displayed price. This practice, known as drip pricing, prevents consumers from knowing the final price and properly comparing offers, and has been illegal in California since 2024.
