🗓 1 MARCH 2023 : JACQUEMUS SETS UP SHOP AT GALERIES LAFAYETTE

The designer has moved into the Parisian department store with a popup collaboration that will last until 2 April. Inspired by the designer’s world, the Jacquemus Obsession installation includes a series of spaces and experiences that add interest and energy to the store’s layout. This new project is part of the brand’s distribution strategy and its goals of strengthening the label’s’ presence in physical points of sale and giving clients a more immersive, personal shopping experience.

Contemporary fashion label Casablanca is celebrating its fifth anniversary by collaborating with the Caviar Kaspia restaurant, which has been located at the Place de la Madeleine in Paris since 1927. The partnership offers an extra-gourmet experience, a ready-to-wear and accessories capsule collection, and, of course, caviar. The project is an example of the growing trend of fashion brands partnering with gastronomy or lifestyle labels.

American department store Neiman Marcus held its annual awards ceremony on 6 March, honoring the most influential people in the fashion industry. Winners included Brunello Cucinelli, founder of his eponymous label, for Distinguished Service; Jonathan Anderson, Loewe Artistic Director, for Creative Impact; and shoe designer Amina Muaddi for Innovation. The talented designers were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the industry and their influence on current trends.

Rolls-Royce has collaborated with fashion designer Iris van Herpen to create a couture car, the Phantom Syntopia. The automobile, a true work of art on wheels, is a mix of technological innovation and artistic creativity. In addition to the car, buyers will receive an exclusive garment created by Iris van Herpen. This superlative collaboration illustrates the current trend for different luxury sectors, despite their diverse universes, to come together.

🗓 20 MARCH 2023 : MOSCHINO ANNOUNCES THE DEPARTURE OF JEREMY SCOTT

Moschino has officially announced the departure of Jeremy Scott, the house’s Artistic Director for the past 10 years, without giving details about the reason for the decision. The brand praised the designer’s sharp humor and ability to explore the relationships between fashion, art, consumerism, and society. Since his first Moschino collection for Fall-Winter 2014/2015, Scott has made his characteristic style clear with powerful, extravagant designs inspired by American pop culture.

🗓 24 MARCH 2023 : THE BRISTOL COMES TO THE METAVERSE

The luxury hotel and hospitality sectors are also moving into the Web3 world, as seen in a new initiative by Le Bristol Hotel in Paris’ 8th arrondissement. Le Bristol Unlocked limited edition series of digital artwork, created in collaboration with the Metav.rs startup, will be available for purchase as NFTs on 14 April. Interested buyers can sign up on a dedicated page and try to acquire one of the exclusive NFTs. The 11 lucky winners will become members of L’H3ritage Club and enjoy some real-life privileges: an exclusive dish from chef Eric Frechon; a secret cocktail menu at the hotel bar; and access to the 6th-floor swimming pool, normally open only to guests. The operation is a recent example of how digital technology can help brands energize their physical offer.

Burberry has published an exciting new book covering its history – from its 1856 beginnings until today. The book gives readers a look at the brand’s evolution through the eras and highlights the house’s iconic heritage and influence on the fashion industry. Since the arrival of new CEO Jonathan Akeroyd and new Artistic Director Daniel Lee, Burberry has been turning back to its British heritage. The house’s desire to reconnect with its roots is clearly seen in this groundbreaking book which reinforces the Burberry identity.
